일민미술관은 서울의 중심지인 광화문 사거리이자 청계천의 시작점에 자리하고 있습니다. 시각문화를 통해 대중과 소통하고자 하는 일민 미술관은 시사적이고 동시대적인 미술전시를 기획하며 다큐멘터리 영상물과 비디오 아트를 만날 수 있는 국내 유일의 ‘다큐멘터리 아카이브’를 운영합니다. 또한 시각문화이론서인 ‘일민시각문화’를 발간하고 있습니다. 도심 속에서 우리나라 시각문화의 다양한 흐름을 만날 수 있는 일민 미술관을 경험해보시기 바랍니다.
ilmin museum of art is located in Gwanghwamun, center of Seoul, and the starting point of Cheonggye Stream. It communicats with the public trough visual culture; exhibits contemporary art projects; operates the only documentary archive in Korea for documentary films and video arts. Furthermore ilmin museum of art publishes ‘ilmin visual culture’ on visual art theories. Welcome to ilmin museum of art and experience variegated trends of Korean visual culture. |
